Blue Bay INC in Bronx

Love all of my local diners! Blue Bay has been here forever and a very loyal place to Riverdale. The food is delicious and the ice coffee made by the tall handsome guy is absolutely quenching.

Inhouse - it's not too bad, except for the cashiers. The outgoing department is the worst I've experienced in 30 years. The manager likes to hire pretty young things on the front end, with very bad attitudes. They don't care about service at all. The deliveries are late, cold, something is always missing.

I've had pretty good experience with the food, nothing exceptional though. Service has been good too. It's disappointing there are no changing tables in the bathrooms. It's tough to bring a baby along...

Loved the Blue Bay Omelette. Great amount of food for the money and good service.

It's a diner, its clean though. The only downside is the bathroom is down a flight of stairs and those stairs arent the most safe.

The food is always good. They have a decent selection as well. It's a pleasant diner. I've been going here for years. The service is just ok these days, and slow. It used to be better, so I'm not sure what's going on. But that's why four stars instead of five.

Been going there pretty much my whole life. Will say very good employees who are respectful & the food is very delicious.

If you're a seafood lover this is the place to go to in City Island Bronx New York service is unbelievable from the beginning to the end definitely my kind of seafood place.

The steak burger is delicious!!! Juicy, tasty and quality. Wait staff are very attentive. My complaint is the prices. Ridiculously overpriced for a diner. This is not a fancy restaurant!!! I love the breakfasts there but the new prices are outrageous. They don't care because they are the only diner within walking distance for many of the older people in Riverdale. They cannot compare to Tibbett Diner which offers better food, bigger portions and better prices!

I love the newly updated menu. More healthy options that actually taste better than super high-calorie dishes. Many moderately priced dinners (soup, salad, entree, vegetable and potatoes.) Great omelettes and specialty chicken sandwiches.

This is a great, old-fashioned diner with excellent food and service. As a neighborhood resident, I ate here all the time. My wife and I still visit. We especially love their breakfast food--excellent.

I wasn't blown away by the breakfast I got, though it was still good. It's possible I picked the wrong thing to eat but the overall experience wasn't negative. I'll go back at some point.

Best breakfast in riverdale

Fine diner at the riverdale busy street. Extensive menu. I like their fresh squeezed orange juice.

Best diner in existence - fries need a biy more salt though. Any food you get you won't be disappointed with.

They have salty cuisine that I have ordered and I am not satisfied with the service they've offered when I am there.

If I could rate this diner less than one star I would. I used to eat here all the time. Then I ordered from them and they took 3 hours at 7am in the morning. The food was cold and the owner had the audacity to tell me the guy had buzzed my apartment and called when I have no missed calls. I was up since 5am and have been sitting watching my front door since I ordered. Terrible customer service and lies. Skip them and go to Tibet’s Diner or Tiny’s as they actually do what they say!

First time at Blue Bay Dinner and it was a good experience. The staff was nice and attentive. The food was decent. The price was alright. Overall it was a good experience. When we went in the morning it wasn’t busy at all and we got a table right away. Parking might be hard to find in this area. This place also have to go food if you are interested. For some reason this place only serves breakfast in the morning instead of a traditional dinner where they give you all the options to choose from. However, if you ask the server for a lunch menu or a lunch menu meal they will give it to you. Or try too.

First of all the food was delivered absolutely cold. Coffee like mud.But that's the good part. Ordered 4 scrambled egg whites withcheddar cheese and tomatoes. Would you believe $18.40.Really!Same prices as the Waldof Astoria Hotel in Manhattan What are they serving. I didn't get the caviar, it came with cold home fries. OMG.Then they forgot part of my order.Good Morning Blue Bay! Wake up to reality.

You’ll get diner food. Nothing special, and this is the ONLY restaurant among the 10 or so restaurants on JOHNSON Avenue that hasn’t received an A grade. For all the money that senior citizens have spent there over the years, the owner and his son should try a lot harder and work for an A. And FYI, the GRADE PENDING sign that is eternally in their window means that an establishment has received either a B or a C grade. The law permits them to display the GRADE PENDING sign rather than the letter grade they actually received. I’d be embarrassed too to display a B or a C among all the other establishments with their A grades proudly displayed.

I bought a burger deluxe at Blue Bay restaurant, and it was the worst burger I’ve ever had. It was loaded with salt. Totally inedible. Unbelievable that a diner cannot make the most basic item a diner sells. I don’t mind paying top dollar for a good burger but this was a waste of my hard earned cash!

Great diner. Prices went up some years ago when the rent went up but it still has great food.
